Towing and Hauling
The Silverado 1500 is a great truck for everyday towing and hauling needs, especially if you choose the 3.0L Duramax Turbo-Diesel engine. When paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, this engine provides a maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds and a maximum available payload of 2,260 pounds. The Custom and all higher Silverado 1500 trims come with a Chevy Trailering Package that includes a hitch, hitch platform, receiver hitch, and Hitch Guidance.
Hauling is easier than ever in the Silverado 1500 thanks to the high-strength steel Durabed. It also comes with 12 cargo tie-downs that are rated at 500 pounds per corner, helping secure heavy items like furniture or work equipment.
Exterior and Appearance
The Silverado 1500’s exterior has convenient features that make every workday a breeze, including the cab-mounted cargo area lamps. When your project extends into the evening hours, you can count on the cargo area lamps for ample lighting. Other convenient exterior features include the CornerStep rear bumper, all-season blackwall tires, and a locking tailgate.
The 2025 Silverado 1500 comes in several different color options, including neutral options like Summit White and Cypress Gray as well as bold options like Red Hot and Riptide Blue Metallic. The WT base trim has 17-inch ultra-silver painted steel wheels, black bumpers, and halogen reflector headlamps with daytime running lamps.
Safety and Assistive Driving
Safety is at the forefront of the Silverado 1500, with a range of assistive driving features that can reduce your risk of accidents. This includes Forward Collision Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. All of these features are part of the innovative Chevy Safety Assist package, which acts as a second pair of eyes on the road while you drive.
